Revolution Now and Then

The Annual Fortsberg 1733 Revolution Tour is this Friday, November 25. The tour begins at the Red Hook ferry dock. Meet from 8-8:30 to board the 9am ferry. The tour returns to St. Thomas on the 4pm ferry. Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring snacks and water. Roundtrip fare on the ferry is $12 for residents, $14 for non-residents, $2 for children 2-11, and $3 for seniors. The safari is $15. For more info call Brother Leba at 340-998-1792.

The tour commemorates the first successful slave rebellion in the western hemisphere (St. John) which began on November 23, 1733. This day is now celebrated as VI Freedom Fighters Day.
